FILM, VIDEO & MULTI-MEDIA

My film, video and multi-media work includes several documentary scripts and programs for SABC and eTV, South Africa's main television broadcasters, as well as many different narrative scripts for marketing and promotional videos in the United States and South Africa. With Ya Rona Productions in South Africa, I was a co-producer for Abdullah Ibrahim's "Shosholoza" music video (through EMI Records South Africa), and Vusi Khumalo's "Dusk to Dawn," (M.E.L.T. 2000 Records) groundbreaking music video. "Dusk to Dawn" won accolades for its creative use of the urban environment of Johannesburg and Soweto, blended with club performance scenes. I also produced "Four Faces of Africa," a special multi-media presentation for African heads of state, foreign diplomats and dignitaries participating in the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD). "Four Faces of Africa" depicted the four regions of the Motherland - Northern, Southern, East and West Africa - in a poetic narrative describing the history, beauty and unique struggles and achievements of the Continent. I am currently developing treatments and scripts for submission to certain American television networks and producers.

All video and film productions begin with ideas, imagination, intuition, concepts and a script. As a writer, I work in conjunction with producers, editors, cinematographers and a range of professionals as part of a production team.
